Trying to get baby to sleep through the night

Getting baby to sleep through night. Last night's adventure: I gave her a bottle of water at 8:30, she drank 1-2 oz. I put her in her crib sleepy but awake at 8:45 and she was out by 9. 12:48, she wakes up. I change her diaper, give her a bottle (as a pacifier didn't work) but, took it away after 2-3 oz. She screamed and fought. I kept putting in a paci which didn't last long. So I started the 5-10-15 min rule. (these waits took awhile to reach time as she quieted down and I restarted the clock). I waited 5 mins before going in and soothing her and turned on a musical toy. Then I waited 7 mins (couldn't do 10) and turned on the ocean sound and rubbed her back for a bit soothing her. I head back to bed at 1:51, she was out by 2 and we didn't hear her until 8! YAY. I figured out she likes a FULL belly to sleep. Breaking that habit. Let's hope tonight goes as well and even better! She is 5 months old, time to sleep as mommy has been tired for over a year (it was the peeing thing, all night, all 40 weeks).

Peter Rabbit Shower Decorations

After designing the super cute invitations, the next challenge was the decor. Silhouette Studio had an adorable Peter hugging his mom which was just perfect for a baby shower.

The first item I made was the diaper cake. I wanted a more modern look but still keep it geared toward baby. I did that with the Peter and Mom image. I also did NOT roll those diapers! Such a pain for a new mom to flatten them out and even still, they curl and do not work well on a babies tush. I used cake pans and fanned out the diapers, then tied them into position. Unfortunately, this is the best image I have as I did not take a photo of it before the shower. Mom and Peter are on all four sides on different levels.
I also made an "It's a Boy" banner. I used the Mom and Peter image between the words and also at the beginning and end. I used the Distress Ink by Tim Holtz that I used on the invitation to help bring continuity and jazz up the banner.

I also used the Peter Rabbit theme for the favor boxes. I made them 100% using my Silhouette SD machine. The boxes held 9-10 fun sized candy bars or 8 Hershey kisses and 4 Reese's PB cups (minis). I used the "hopping" peter and added the pompom tail that was on the invitations. I used Distress Ink on the Thank You tag.

Peter Rabbit Baby Shower

My SIL wanted a Peter Rabbit themed baby shower. Doing searches on the web did not come up with too many ideas for a more modern contemporary theme. Most showers in this theme focused on the english garden aspect which I thought too feminine for a baby boy shower. Also this was not my SIL's style. Luckily the Silhouette Studio just released Beatrix Potter images into their library and I was in heaven! Here is the shower invite I must say floored me in the fact that I came up with this! I didn't think I could be THIS creative!
I was excited to find and try out the Tim Holtz Distress Ink for the blue trimming on the diaper pocket the invitation sat in. Added the perfect touch to really highlight the diaper aspect rather than leaving it plain white. Really popped and gave the invitations more of a professional look!

The front had a cute Peter Rabbit in his hopping away pose. I used that to get the guests to flip the invitation over. I found little white pompoms and glued them on for his little tail. Super cute!
On the back of the invitation I placed a poem to start the babies library collection.
